Our master’s students through their preceptorships and networking opportunities provided by the program typically start their careers in new jobs before commencement. The average 90-day placement rate for our graduates from 2016 to 2018 was 94 percent.

36 percent of graduates earned employment prior to or during MHA enrollment.
22 percent of graduates earned employment within 30 days of graduation.
36 percent of graduates earned employment within 90 days of graduation.
6 percent of graduates earned employment after 90 days post-graduation.

Additionally, the city is the home to nationally prominent academic health centers and several of the largest healthcare systems in the country. This provides an outstanding opportunity to network with healthcare professionals and to find rewarding job opportunities within the robust healthcare market.

About Career Outcomes
Graduates obtain positions in both the Chicago market and nationwide in a variety of career sectors. During 2016 through 2018 our new graduates accepted positions in the following types of healthcare organizations.
- 41.5 percent of graduates obtained jobs with hospitals and health systems.
- 24.5 percent of graduates obtained jobs in healthcare consulting.
- 8 percent of graduates obtained jobs in pharmaceutical, biotech and medical device fields.
- 6 percent of graduates obtained jobs in medical group management.
- 6 percent of graduates pursued alternative graduate degrees.
- 3.5 percent of graduates obtained jobs in the health insurance industry.
- 3.5 percent of graduates obtained jobs with associations, non-profits and foundations.
- 3.5 percent of graduates did not report their employment.
- 2 percent of graduates obtained jobs in long term care, home health and rehabilitation.
- 1 percent of graduates obtained a postgraduate fellowship.
