Preparing advocates for health equity, social justice and well-being for people in Chicago and around the globe

Access to clean water.  Creating access to health care.  Investigating environmental pollution.  Working to end violence.  That's just the beginning of what public health is all about.  The Bachelor of Arts in Public Health program at UIC is preparing students for careers and graduate education in fields focused on equality and social justice in health and well-being.  We're ready to jump-start your leadership in your community at home or in communities around the world strengthening health and life opportunities for all, particularly those in low-income environments.

The BA in Public Health program is an excellent pathway for students considering medical school, dentistry school and pharmacy school.  The program provides a broad foundation in the biological and behavioral sciences, viewed from social ecology and population-based health perspectives.  In addition, the program's degree requirements are structured in a way that provides students ample opportunity to complete the pre-requisites required for medical, dentistry and pharmacy school, among other professional programs.
