Introduction
The PhD degree in Epidemiology educates students in the application of advanced epidemiologic research methods in preparation for independent research careers. This degree program prepares the student to play an important role in study design, data collection and processing, and in statistical analysis and interpretation in either the public or private sector.
Students can pursue two other degrees in epidemiology: the PhD in Environmental Health and the PhD in Maternal and Child Health Epidemiology.
