The reimbursement of dependent health insurance cost will continue as it was implemented effective July 1, 1999. A resident may select any health insurance plan offered by UIC, but any cost beyond the approved reimbursement amount will be borne by the resident. For the current fiscal year (FY 2023), the maximum reimbursement is $141 for one dependent and $177 for two or more dependents. This is subject to change in FY 2024.
