Occupational Medicine Application Process
Introduction
The University of Illinois at Chicago Occupational and Environmental Medicine residency begins in the PG-2 year. Candidates must have completed at least one year of an internship/residency at an ACGME or AOA-accredited program in any clinical specialty. We participate in the Electronic Residency Application Service (ERAS) Applications are accepted starting September 1st Candidates will be selected through the National Resident Match Program (NRMP). U.S. or foreign medical school graduates will be considered.
Documents to be Submitted
The following documents should be submitted with the ERAS Common Application form:
- Minimum of three (3) letters of recommendation (at least 1 from Program Director)
- Dean’s letter (MSPE)
- Medical School Transcripts
- Personal Statement
- United States Medical Licensing Examination (USMLE) Scores, Step 1 & Step 2
- ECFMG Certificate* if applicable
Admissions Process
- Applications are submitted through ERAS for review
- Selected qualified candidates will receive communication from the program in November/December. Personal interviews will be held virtually
- Applicants are ranked and accepted through the NRMP (National Resident Matching Program)
