Dr. Laura Chung graduated from George Washington University School of Medicine. Laura also earned her JD. She completed her PGY1 in Internal Medicine/Neurology at George Washington University School of Medicine in Washington, DC prior to joining the UIC Occupational Medicine program in July 2023.
Dr. John Cooper graduated medical school from Washington University of Health and Sciences and he did his intern year in Family Medicine at Louisiana State University in Alexandria, Louisiana. He was recently the director of Emergency Medicine department and was an emergency room physician at Jeff Davis Hospital in Hazlehurst, Georgia prior to joining the UIC Occupational Medicine residency in July 2022.
Dr. Joel Fink graduated from Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine and completed his internship at Southeastern Regional Medical Center in Lumbert, North Carolina. He practiced as a military physician in the Air Force for three years prior to joining the UIC Occupational Medicine residency in July 2022.
Dr. Arooj Mohammed graduated from Indiana University School of Medicine. He completed his PGY1 in Internal Medicine at Presence St. Joseph Hospital in Chicago prior to joining the UIC Occupational Medicine program in July 2023.
Dr. Tuongvi (Vi) Nguyen graduated medical school from Kansas City University of Medicine and Biosciences and completed her internship at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center in Bethesda, Maryland. She served in the Navy prior to joining the Occupational Medicine program at UIC in July 2021.
Dr. Fatima Zitouni graduated medical school in Algeria, then worked as primary care physician for 5 years. She moved to United States in 2014. She completed her PGY1 in Internal Medicine at Weiss Memorial hospital prior to joining the UIC Occupational Medicine program in July 2022.
