UIC Master of Healthcare Administration (MHA) Student Leadership (Delaney Razo, Shivam Patel, Luciana Sandoval Camacho, Grace Jennings, and Ali Mohamed Hejaij) were honored by the Chicago Health Executives Forum (CHEF) at their Annual Meeting on February 21, 2024. These bright students received the Health Studies Student Leadership Award that recognizes the achievements of an outstanding graduate student(s) in a Chicago healthcare management program for their excellent work in coordinating the 2023 CHEF/American College of Healthcare Executives (ACHE) Student Committee: Paving the Way for Leadership & Innovation hosted at UIC in November. It was a tremendous success.

The UIC Master of Healthcare Administration (MHA) program, accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Management Education (CAHME) and the Council on Education for Public Health (CEPH), launched their residential program in 2005, and has graduated close to 500 students since then, who are helping to improve community healthcare across the US and internationally. Program directors have been experienced executives from Chicago health delivery organizations (Sinai, UI Health and Advocate). Along with the program director, research faculty and adjunct practitioners, the UIC MHA program provides students a blend of cutting-edge theory and application within the healthcare sector.
