Conference Poster Grants

Overview

The School of Public Health offers a limited number of Conference Poster Printing Grants to currently enrolled SPH students seeking to print a poster for presentation of public health research or scholarly work at professional conferences outside of UIC. This assistance is intended to help offset the cost of printing services for SPH students and to encourage participation in poster sessions at external conferences. Posters must be printed by UIC Creative and Digital Services. Grants are awarded based on application status and availability of funds.

We expect to award approximately 50 grants up to the amount of $100 per request in this academic year.

Eligibility

  • Applicants must be currently enrolled SPH students at the time of poster presentation.
  • Poster must be accepted for presentation by the conference.
  • Conference must be within the current academic year.
  • Poster must include UIC SPH Logo – logos can be downloaded here.
  • Applicants may receive only one grant per year. An academic year starts with the Fall semester and ends with the Summer semester.
  • Requested amount cannot exceed cost of poster printing. A maximum of $100 can be awarded. Students are responsible for any costs exceeding the awarded grant amount, including the cost for reprints to correct misprints/errors.
  • Poster must be printed by UIC Creative and Digital Services. Click here to request a quote to include in your application.
  • Grants are intended to offset the cost of poster printing to support dissemination of SPH students’ research and scholarly work.
  • Students are expected to submit a copy of the final poster file so that we can track some of the excellent work SPH students are sharing with the public health community. We may follow-up and ask to share more about your presentation on our website or social media.
