Karen VanLandeghem has thirty years’ experience in health and human service policy, program development, and government relations with expertise in child and family service delivery systems, maternal and child health, behavioral health, public insurance coverage, early childhood development, and adolescent health. She has spent the majority of her career working at the national and state levels for health policy organizations and state government, including as the assistant executive director of the Association of Maternal and Child Health Programs (AMCHP). Ms. VanLandeghem is currently a Senior Program Director at the National Academy for State Health Policy where she leads the organization’s portfolio of work on child and family health. In addition to having taught a course in Maternal and Child Health Systems at the Center of Excellence in Maternal and Child Health at the UIC, she is on the Board of Health, a mayoral appointed position, for the Village of Arlington Heights.
