About
I have a dual degree in Community Health and Kinesiology from the University of Illinois at Urbana Champaign and a Masters degree in Public Health from the University of Illinois at Chicago School of Public Health.
I currently work at the University of Illinois at Chicago School of Public Health in the Doctor of Public Health Leadership Program. My role is to manage overall student, staff, and faculty administrative and programmatic needs including but not limited to student liaison for registration, program progress and communication, assisting with program marketing and recruitment, and managing program admission progress.
Prior to this role, I have worked as a project manager for the HRSA Public Health Training Centers from 2001 - 2018. In this role, one of the main responsibilities is serving as the point of contact for public health training opportunities at the Region V Great Lakes Public Health Training Center at the UIC School of Public Health. The target audience for the training is for public health practice professionals and public health students. I collaborated with six regional partners to assist in the identification of practicum sites for MPH graduate students and provide opportunities for students to engage with the practice communities to fulfill their practicum requirements. On the national level, my continual focus was to develop resources to strengthen the public health workforce by assisting key administration partners at the national level.
