Jeneane McDonald is Vice Chair of the Department of Public Health at Des Moines University where she also teaches the MPH culminating experiences. She served as the Executive Director of the Iowa Public Health Association for 15 years in addition to roles with the Iowa Department of Public Health and diverse public health consulting work.
Her DrPH action research is building public health capacity for systemic change through cross-sector collaboration and community engagement.

Service to Community
Current public health service includes the Midwestern Public Health Training Center Steering Committee, the Iowa Public Health Workforce Development Coalition, the Iowa Behavioral Risk Factor Surveillance System Advisory Committee and the Iowa Congenital and Inherited Disorders Advisory Committee.
