About
Kevin has been working in the School of Public Health for three years as the Undergraduate Academic Advisor. He started advising in higher education in 2013. He previously served as a guidance counselor as well as an English teacher prior to starting in higher education. As a first-generation college student, Kevin understands the challenges many students at UIC face and provides advising and support for undergraduate students. Kevin is also also a co-chair for the UIC Advisor Common Reading Committee and has been nominated for the Provost's Excellence in Advising Award in 2017 and 2018. In his spare time, Kevin enjoys spending time with his family and playing music.
