About
Anne joined the Ingham County Health Department, in Lansing, MI as Deputy Health Officer for Administration in April of 2022. Previously, Anne served as Planning and Health Promotion Director and several other roles at the Barry-Eaton District Health Department in Michigan. Anne holds a Master of Arts degree in Applied Medical Anthropology from the University of Kentucky (2004) and a Bachelors of Science from Grand Valley State University in Anthropology/Biology (2001).
Anne's experiences in local public health infrastructure means she is a generalist, but with particular interest in leadership, community health assessment and planning, health equity and social justice, communications, emergency preparedness and response, public health ethics, disability inclusion, applied epidemiology and data presentation, and community partnerships.
Service to Community
Anne has served for many years as a city planning commissioner, and previously served on Michigan's Special Education Advisory Committee as a parent representative.
