About
Yuka Asada, PhD, RD, is a Registered Dietitian and Clinical Assistant Professor of Community Health Sciences in the School of Public Health at the University of Illinois Chicago. She has advanced training and over a decade of experience conducting qualitative and mixed methods studies that examine nutrition and health policy implementation related to K-12 schools, early childcare settings, and sugary beverage taxation. Across these topics, her research seeks to understand how health and nutrition policy implementation can advance health equity. She is a dedicated educator and currently is a faculty member in the Doctor of Public Health in Leadership (DrPH) at SPH (UIC). Yuka is a current scholar in the Institute for Implementation Science Scholars (IS-2) at Washington University in St. Louis, as well as a 2022 trainee in the Mixed Methods Research Training Program (MMRTP) for the Health Sciences at Johns Hopkins School of Public Health.
