Telemedicine’s Rise Brings Access Questions

SPH's Uchechi Mitchell, PhD, assistant professor of community health sciences, was featured in a Tampa Bay Times story on the rise of telemedicine, particularly on the needs seniors and other vulnerable populations face to access platforms during the pandemic.

Now would be a time to think about how to create technologies that are universally accessible, regardless of age, regardless of socioeconomic status, racial or ethnic background, and also (to think) about those seniors or individuals where English is not their primary language.
