Podcast: COVID-19 and Outdoor Recreation

Dr. Ron Hershow, professor of epidemiology, was the featured guest on "Teach Me About the Great Lakes," a podcast about the world's largest freshwater lakes and the surrounding region.  In this episode, Hershow discusses the importance of outdoor recreation during COVID-19 and strategies for maintaining social distancing.

One of the safest and healthiest things people can do now is go out and take a hike or go for a walk.  I would not lump the prohibitions on bars in with getting outside.  To me, outdoor activities are one of the safest things we can do in the era of COVID-19.
