In the News: Latino Health Study
Crain’s Chicago covered UIC's new $12 million contract from the National Institutes of Health to carry out Phase III of the Hispanic Community Health Study/Study of Latinos. The four-site study is the largest-ever epidemiological prospective study of the Hispanic/Latino population, and includes more than 4,000 participants in Chicago. The study's Chicago field center is housed in the UIC Institute for Minority Health Research and the School of Public Health's Maria Argos is a co-investigator.
