In the News: Household Cleaning Products and COVID-19

SPH's Dr. Susan Buchanan, clinical associate professor of environmental and occupational health sciences, was interviewed by the Chicago Tribune on the usage of household cleaning products to disinfect and sanitize heavily used household areas during the COVID-19 outbreak.

There can be a lot of additives to cleaners that can be harmful to health, including endocrine disruptors.  At this time when we’re trying to fight an outbreak, though, those concerns tend to take a back burner.
