Global health water project wins international award
Sola Maji, led by the UIC School of Public Health and the Safe Water and AIDS Project in Kenya, is bringing solar-powered clean drinking water to people across the African nation. The project is co-led by SPH's Sam Dorevitch, MD, professor of environmental and occupational health sciences.
The project earned a Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Global Water Award, from the United Arab Emirates Water Aid Foundation.
