December a Record-Setting Month

Dr. Mark Dworkin, professor of epidemiology, provided analysis to the Wall Street Journal on the state of the COVID-19 pandemic in the United States as the calendar turned from 2020 to 2021.  In particular, he focused on the spread of new variants of the virus across the U.S.

I was not surprised the new variant was found in the U.S. The pandemic is not contained. So in the short term it makes sense to expect high rates for a while longer.
