Fall 2020 Student Guide

The School of Public Health is closely monitoring the COVID-19 situation and following public health guidance. The majority of classes are being offered online for the fall 2020 semester and subsequently services and amenity offerings have been adjusted. The following information will be updated whenever there are changes to SPH on-site offerings.

Specific space needs

  • Study spaces

    Study spaces will not be available, though exceptions may be considered with demonstrable need.

  • Lactation spaces

    Spaces for lactation are available but limited to students who have on-site classes in SPHPI building were otherwise given permission to be in the building. For access to the lactation room, please contact the front desk at (312) 413-2012.

  • Meditation spaces

    At this time, no meditation spaces are available in the SPHPI building for the Fall 2020 semester.

  • Microwaves

    No public-use microwaves are available in the SPHPI building.

Computer labs, laptop requests and Wifi hotspots

Face-to-face and virtual advising options

Currently advising is virtual, but in-person options may be possible depending on the prevalence of COVID-19 in the community over the course of the next few months and the public health guidance at that time.

All-gender restroom locations at SPHPI

All-gender restrooms are available for the Fall 2020 semester but limited to students who have on-site classes in SPHPI building or were otherwise given permission to be in the building.

With the exception of 109D, most all-gender washrooms in SPHPI are situated in the same area: the northeast wall of the passenger elevator hallway. The first floor all-gender washroom (109D) is located outside the auditorium on the west wing of the building.
