About
Margaret Sietsema, Ph.D., CIH is an assistant professor at the University of Illinois at Chicago working to advance innovations in respiratory protection. Dr. Sietsema earned her MS and PhD in Environmental and Occupational Health Sciences with a specialization in industrial hygiene from the University of Illinois at Chicago.
Following completion of her PhD, Dr. Sietsema spent one year working as a fellow in the Research Branch of the National Personal Protective Technology Laboratory, a division of the National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health. Margaret is a past Chair of the American Industrial Hygiene Association Respiratory Protection Committee.
Her research interests are in exposure assessment, industrial hygiene, and respiratory protection.
