About

Stephanie Salgado is an APE summer student and MPH candidate in the division of Community Health Sciences at the UIC School of Public Health. In this role she works to enhance and expand the Collaboratory’s pilot partner database in order to facilitate meaningful and strategic engagement between UIC faculty, staff, students, and community partners. Outside of UIC, Stephanie serves as the Project Manager for Legal Council for Health Justice’s New Approaches to Childhood Lead Poisoning Pilot Project. She holds a B.A in Public Health and a minor in Gender and Women’s Studies from UIC. Her public health interests include community organizing, healthcare access in communities of color and health justice and anti-racist frameworks for health equity.
