About
Amanda Montgomery is second-year MPH Student in the Community Health Sciences Division at UIC and a Research Assistant with the Collaboratory for Health Justice's Reciprocal Technical Assistance/Youth Citizen Science projects. She is also a member of Radical Public Health and assists with CBPR with UIC's Greater Lawndale Healthy Work Committee. Outside of UIC, she has worked as a Community Dietitian for five years and is currently the Community Health Education Manager at Heartland Health Centers. She received her B.S. in Nutrition and Dietetics from Saint Louis University and completed her Dietetic Internship at Loyola University. She is passionate about youth empowerment, food justice, compassion-based nutrition and reducing anti-fat bias within public health and health care systems.
