Kirsten Almberg is an Research Assistant Professor of Environmental and Occupational Health Sciences at the University of Illinois at Chicago (UIC), School of Public Health. She serves as the Director for the UIC Center for Health Work, a NIOSH-funded Center of Excellence in Total Worker Health® The focus of the UIC Center is precarious work- understanding the scope of and working conditions associated with precarious work and developing multi-level intervention strategies to turn unhealthy work into healthy work.
