Raphael Florestal-Kevelier, PhD, MPH is a Clinical Assistant Professor in the Division of Community Health Sciences at the University of Illinois Chicago School of Public Health. His teaching, research, and practice explore the intersections of health equity, institutional culture, and student wellbeing in higher education. With over 15 years of experience in university and public health settings, Dr. Florestal-Kevelier’s scholarship centers the experiences of Black, queer, and transgender students and the design of health-promoting campus systems. He also serves as Associate Vice Chancellor for Student Health and Campus Wellbeing and Immediate Past President of the American College Health Association.
