MINER Center Analyzes COVID-19 Risks for Australian Miners
Dr. Robert Cohen, director of the UIC Mining and Education Research Center, was interviewed by The Australian, analyzing the risks of COVID-19 for active and retired coal miners in Australia. Cohen has worked extensively with the Australian state of Queensland improving its pneumoconiosis diagnosis process.

We actually closed all our black lung clinics and we’re asking miners not to come in for exams at the moment. We don’t think it’s worth the risk them being in hospitals and clinics where sick people are at this time.
