FINANCIAL AID ELIGIBILITY
All students who are degree candidates in the School of Public Health are eligible to apply for financial aid. Most types of financial aid require the submission of a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA), which is available online at www.fafsa.ed.gov, from the UIC Office of Student Financial Aid, or from the SPH Office of Student Affairs.
Seven types of financial aid are available for SPH students
APPLYING FOR FINANCIAL AID
In order to be considered for federal funding assistance, students should complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). To be considered for funding assistance from the School of Public Health, students should fill out a funding assistance application from the division or program to which the student is accepted. The divisions/programs provide funding assistance applications shortly after admission is offered to the program. We advise that you provide the division/program with a copy of the FAFSA report and a copy of your funding application.
Students are strongly encouraged to fill out a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). Most types of financial aid require the submission of a FAFSA which is available online at www.fafsa.ed.gov.
The school code for the University of Illinois at Chicago is: 001776.

For School of Public Health funding, students will receive notice from the division/program directly.
Funding your Education / Graduate Funding Overview
The UIC Graduate College has produced an excellent resource that lists many internal and external funding opportunities and explains the funding process at the graduate/professional level. Students are encouraged to make use of this additional resource when researching funding opportunities. Please bear in mind that some of these funding opportunities might not apply to professional students as this site is maintained by the Graduate College. If you are unsure if a certain funding opportunity applies to you as a student, please contact Brandon Sieglaff, Assistant Director of Admissions and Recruitment, at email@example.com.
