What comes to mind when you think of your community’s public health challenges?  Public health extends much further beyond addressing infectious disease outbreaks.

As Illinois’ only fully-accredited School of Public Health, the UIC School of Public Health has been at work in local and global communities for more than 50 years.  The problems we’re tackling today include health disparities, health effects of climate change, policing and its health impacts, social determinants of health, public policy, worker justice and so much more.

Guiding our work close to home in Chicago’s North Lawndale neighborhood or abroad in Kisumu City, Kenya is an insistence on health justice for all.  We invite you to learn more about our programs that will prepare you to lead in public health for equity and justice.
