The School of Public Health has a diverse portfolio of research, training, and service projects with equally diverse funding sources, including federal, non-profit, and local government support. Prior to submission of grant proposals, faculty have the opportunity to make use of college-wide resources to support proposal development and increase the likelihood of successful grant funding.
Proposal Development Services
Faculty have the option of developing grant proposals within their unit or utilizing the School of Public Health Office of Research Services (ORS), housed within the dean’s office. This office provides pre-award expertise and assists faculty with logistical and administrative support while developing research and other sponsored project proposals. Additionally, ORS makes available various grant-related templates (e.g. budget, standard letters, consortium agreements, resources and facilities), educational resources, and training materials to assist the investigator.
Grant Review Services
Grant review is encouraged prior to submission of investigator-initiated research project applications. ORS provides options to arrange for internal/external peer reviewers, grant review by the Associate Dean for Research, or consultation and review from an outside grant consultant.
The School of Public Health Office of Research Services (ORS) hosts regular workshops on research and grantmanship topics. Coming Soon: Archive of Recorded Workshops.
