Gracia (Sisi) Valeska Simanullang, MSc, is a PhD Candidate in the Division of Health Policy Administration at the University of Illinois at Chicago School of Public Health. She earned bachelor degree at the AJCU-School of Psychology and completed her master program in Health Psychology at The University of Sydney, Australia. She has 13 years (since 2009) of experience working on HIV issues starting as Program Manager at Lentera Anak Pelangi (Children of Lantern), an intervention program for children living with HIV in Jakarta (2009-2012), and as a researcher at the HIV/AIDS Research Center at AJCU, Indonesia (2014-now). During her work, She closely engage with marginalized communities such as sex workers, drug users, the LGBT communities, including children and families and in collaboration with Ministries, UN agencies, donors and the community. Her research interests include HIV risk among those marginalized populations, social and behavioral interventions. She is currently focusing her dissertation study on mental health outcomes among adolescents and young adults living with HIV in Jakarta, Indonesia.
