About

Carolina attended Colby College as a QuestBridge Scholar and earned her bachelors in Latin American Studies in 2020. During her time at Colby, Carolina was also on the pre-health track, but through her experiences in Mexico and Argentina working with inspiring organizations and public health leaders, she began to explore the world of public health and discovered her passion for health justice. She has worked on researching racism as a public health barrier in Mexico and hopes to continue such work.

She is currently a second year MPH student at UIC in the community health division and global health concentration. She hopes to work with those inspiring people she has met that are already working on health justice issues and aid in the important work they are doing. She wants to work with minorities and ensure health equity by empowering these communities and aiding any work they are already doing.
