Andrew Mitchell, PhD is a professor at Melbourne Law School, director of the Global Economic Law Network, director of studies in international economic law in the Melbourne Law Masters and a member of the Indicative List of Panelists to hear World Trade Organization disputes.

He works to advise national governments on their rights and responsibilities in tobacco control and other health measures focusing on how to resist threats by the tobacco industry of litigation under international economic law.  He holds law degrees from Melbourne, Harvard and Cambridge.

This talk will focus on challenges and opportunities that international trade and investment law pose for public health.
