Join us for the first Public Health Unpacked lecture of the 26-27 Academic Year.

NHANES: The Experience and the Impact
Description: This presentation will provide an overview of how the National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey (NAHNES) collects nationally representative data and provide examples of how NHANES data impacts public health and safety in the US.

Dr. Tony Nguyen | NHANES Chief Medical Officer | Centers for Disease Control (CDC)

Tony is a pediatrician who has worked as an active-duty Army physician, in private practice, and at the local health department level before returning to federal service with CDC as an Epidemic Intelligence Service (EIS) officer assigned to NHANES.   During this time, he was also commissioned as an active-duty Public Health Service Officer.  After EIS, he became NHANES’s chief medical officer where he provides clinical oversight for health exams, provides medical input for planning and operations, and is the medical point of contact for participants or their physicians regarding NHANES test results.
