Hispanic Public Health Nutrition Initiative

Purpose

To addresses childhood obesity and prevention by supporting Latina/o undergraduate and graduate students’ training in nutrition and food sciences.

The initiative offers

  1. Education opportunities on public health nutrition for undergraduate and graduate students.
  2. Competitive paid internships in the field of public health nutrition.
  3. Scholarships (with a stipend) to support students’ professional and research interests on nutrition and food science.

 

Competitions for the scholarship and the internship are announced early in the fall and the spring, respectively.
