Title: Associate Professor
Specialization: Health Services Research, Cancer Care, and History of Public Health
Ross Mullner is an Associate Professor in Health Policy and Administration, a position he has held since 1989. Previous to this he served as the Director at UIC’s Center for Health Services Research in the School of Public Health, Director of the Hospital Research Center and Director of the Department of Special Studies, both at the American Hospital Association. He has also been a guest lecturer the William Scholl College of Podiatric Medicine, the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey, the Medical Society of New Jersey and the University of Chicago. Professor Mullner has an MS and PhD in Geography from the University of Illinois-Urbana and an MPH from UIC. He is a member of the Delta Omega Society, the National Honorary Public Health Fraternity and was a Visiting Fellow at the Center for Health Administration Studies at the University of Chicago.
Dr. Mullner’s research interests are Health Services Research, Cancer Care and the History of Public Health. His work has appeared in numerous scholarly publications including Journal of Medical Systems, Illinois Morbidity and Mortality Reports, Journal of Health Information Management, Journal of Health and Human Resources, Journal of Public Health Dentistry and Public Health Reports, New England Journal of Medicine, among others. He currently serves on the editorial board of the Journal of Health Systems.
