HISPANIC PUBLIC HEALTH NUTRITION INITIATIVE

This initiative addresses childhood obesity and prevention by supporting Latina/o undergraduate and graduate students’ training in nutrition and food sciences. For more information click here.

AMUWO MINORITY SCHOLARSHIP

This scholarship is presented annually to one SPH student who demonstrates a commitment to working on health issues within the Black and African-American communities. This fund is named in honor of the school's former Associate Dean for community, government, and alumni affairs, Shaffdeen A. Amuwo, PhD, MPH, a dedicated advocate and mentor of minority students.

ESTELLE GOLDSTEIN MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP

This scholarship is presented annually to one or more SPH graduate students with a demonstrated financial need, with preference given to students whose educational interests focus on issues surrounding aging and gerontology and/or students returning after the age of forty.

LORETTA PRATT LACEY MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP

This scholarship is used as an incentive to encourage applications from African-American students at the doctoral level whose studies focus on women's health. This fund was established in memory of Dr. Lacey, a nationally renowned alumna and faculty member of SPH. Interested incoming students should contact their division to be considered for this award.

SCRIMSHAW FAMILY LATINO HEALTH SCHOLARSHIP

This scholarship is presented annually to one or more SPH graduate students of Latino/Hispanic origin or descent, who self-identify as Latino, and/or whose area of study focuses on improving the health of the Latino/Hispanic population. This award reflects the decades of research and service former Dean Susan C. Scrimshaw and her family have dedicated to improving the health of Hispanic and Latino families in the Americas.
