Ambassador Badge Information
Student Ambassador Badges fall into three categories: Identifying Leadership Styles, Professional Leadership, and Leadership in Service. The Student Ambassadors Program is part of the Public Health Leadership Program.
Badge Activity Options
Identifying Leadership Styles
Group study sessions: Plan, host or participate in two study sessions. Return a completed sign-in sheet and brief written summary to ODI leadership.
Lunch and Learn event: Attend a student organization-led Lunch and Learn event related to leadership, community service or a relevant topic.
UIC campus events: Attend a campus event related to academic leadership, professional leadership and/or career development.
Professional networking event: Attend an event related to professional networking, professional etiquette and /or professional communication.
Resume workshop: Attend a workshop on the development of a professional resume and cover letter. Minimum of three ambassador participants needed to qualify.
Social media training: Attend training on improving social media usage, particularly involving professional social networks.
ODI support: Assist ODI staff in the preparation and facilitation of two campus events.
ODI recruiting events: Assist ODI staff by attending and facilitating two off-campus recruiting events.
Incentives vary, but could include:
- Gift cards

- Lunch with a public health opinion leader
- Event tickets
