Meet Our Leadership
Dr. Nadine Peacock, is Associate Professor of Community Health Sciences and Associate Dean for Diversity and Inclusion in the UIC School of Public Health. She is a member of the faculty of the SPH Center of Excellence in Maternal and Child Health and the SPH Global Health Program. Dr. Peacock has undergraduate training in anthropology and photojournalism, a PhD in anthropology, and postdoctoral training in public health and reproductive endocrinology. Within the university, Dr. Peacock represents the School of Public Health on the Urban Health Program Management Team, the Diversity Chairs Committee and the African American Recruitment, Enrollment and Retention Initiative and the Diversity Chairs Committee. She is also co-PI for the HRSA-funded Health Professions Navigator Program. is also a mentor in the Building Interdisciplinary Careers in Women’s Health (BIRCWH) Program. Outside of the university, Dr. Peacock has served as chair of the Board of Directors of the Guttmacher Institute, and is currently a member of the Research Advisory Panel for the National Campaign to Prevent Teen and Unplanned Pregnancy. She is also on the executive board of PING! -- an organization that provides musical instruments and musical enrichment to low-income students in her community.
