The Health Policy and Administration (HPA) division offers a wide range of professional and academic programs and degrees designed to provide students with a comprehensive, multi-disciplinary foundation in the core public health areas and in public health policy.

Our Master's Programs serve a diverse student body – from aspiring researchers to accomplished administrators, analysts, and physicians as well as the student just completing her undergraduate studies. HPA offers four master’s degree programs.

HPA offers a PhD in Health Services Research. This PhD program is designed for aspiring researchers.


In an increasingly specialized world, HPA recognizes the need for interdisciplinary study. Thanks to long-standing partnerships both inside and outside of UIC, The HPA division offers seven joint programs which allow students to complete both an MPH degree and a second degree in a shortened timeframe.
