COIP offers services free to the public at five community-based locations throughout Chicago, in a friendly, open-door (no appointment needed) environment for people to drop in and seek help with a wide variety of problems. COIP also has a Mobile Outreach Unit to provide services anywhere in Chicago. COIP services include:

  • Anonymous and confidential rapid HIV & hepatitis C testing
  • Sexually transmitted infections testing and education, including community events to promote awareness of HIV and hepatitis C
  • HIV medical case management
  • Hepatitis C medical case management
  • Substance abuse prevention case management
  • Syringe exchange program
  • Drug overdose prevention education
  • Substance abuse treatment referrals
  • Community support groups
  • Condom and HIV prevention literature distribution
  • HIV medical treatment that includes mental health and pharmacy care, all of which is provided by our UIC partner, the UI Health Community Clinic Network (UCCN)
  • Other health related referrals
