Non-Credit Professional Training
Life-long learning options Heading link
In keeping with its commitment to life-long learning, several SPH programs and centers offer continuing education workshops and other training to the public health workforce. Continuing education provides current information about special topics of interest and relevance to the workforce. While academic credit is not awarded for successful completion of these programs, training typically provides knowledge and skills which are needed on the job. Employers will often reimburse such training or acknowledge its successful completion as part of a salary and promotion review. SPH centers and programs which offer non-credit professional training are listed below:
- Great Lakes Centers for Occupational and Environmental Safety and Health
- Maternal and Child Health Program
- Policy, Practice and Prevention Research Center
